MEET THE ARTIST

Callie Campbell is a New Jersey-based abstract artist creating large-scale, mixed-media work for residential, commercial and public spaces.​

Before becoming a full-time artist, Callie spent nearly fifteen years teaching mathematics and computer science. In 2023, she left the classroom to pursue her studio practice full-time—a transition that brought together two seemingly different parts of her life: a love of structure and problem-solving, and an instinct for color, movement and experimentation.

Her work is known for bold color, layered texture and the use of materials including acrylic, oil, inks, metallics and leafing. Each piece is approached with both intuition and intention, with particular attention to how the artwork will interact with the architecture, palette and personality of the space around it.

Callie works with private collectors, interior designers, businesses, schools and community organizations to create both original and commissioned artwork. Her projects range from intimate residential pieces to large-scale installations and public art.

Her work has been featured in NJ Home Magazine and Woman’s Day, exhibited in solo shows at Montclair Art Gallery and the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, and commissioned for homes, offices, schools and community spaces throughout the region.
